Gemini Healthcare Group: Climbing New Heights in 2010
Medical Mission
In partnership with Healing the Children, Greater Philadelphia Chapter (HTC)
- October 2009: a five-person strong health care professional team conducted a needs assessment and medical education program at Black Lion Hospital, Cure International Hospital, and Yekatit 12 Hospital in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
- March 2010: a 25 person strong health care team—including pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT), pediatric anesthesia, and pediatric urology physicians, nurses, nurse anesthetists, an audiologist, and a biomedical engineer—stayed in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for about one week. Together, they provided teaching, consultations/assessments and surgical services at Black Lion Hospital, Yekatit 12 Hospital, and Cure International Hospital as well hearing assessments at Mekanissa School for the Deaf in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
